Talcum powder lawsuit: Crain’s Chicago Business reports “a Chicago woman is suing Walgreens and Johnson & Johnson, alleging her prolonged use of Johnson & Johnson’s talc products caused ovarian cancer.” The article points out that over 1,000 talcum powder-related lawsuits have been filed against J&J, but it is unclear how many have also involved Walgreens Boots Alliance as a co-defendant. According to the plaintiff, Walgreens “maintains a joint office with J&J in Buffalo Grove” where it “develops business plans for distributing and marketing J&J items, including talcum products, specifically to Walgreens’ shoppers.”
