The New York Times reports the Food and Drug Administration “is investigating 10 infant deaths that may be related to use of homeopathic teething gels and tablets.” The FDA “warned parents last month to stop using the products, which are manufactured or distributed by CVS, Hyland’s Homeopathic and other companies.” Lyndsay Meyer, an FDA spokewoman said the agency is not authorized to recall homeopathic teething products but “sometimes after further analysis, the adverse events may inform agency decisions to take regulatory action.”
USA Today carries an Arizona Republic article reporting that the FDA “confirmed Monday it is investigating 10 deaths that could be connected to the use of infant homeopathic teething products.”
