A motorist injured in an auto accident in Old Bridge settled claims against two of his insurers in his Middlesex County lawsuit. The total recovery was $868,831, according to his lawyer of Gill & Chamas in Woodbridge, NJ.
In November of 2013, the Plaintiff was driving his vehicle in Old Bridge when another motorist turned and struck his vehicle on the driver’s side. As a result, his head struck the driver’s side window and suffered multiple disc herniations – three at the cervical (neck) level and two at the lumbar (low back) level. The Plaintiff underwent surgery and required additional treatments for his spinal injuries. The Plaintiff also aggravated a pre-existing neuropsychological injury from his multiple tours of combat duty in the military.
The Plaintiff was unable to return to work as a foreman, a job he performed since returning from active military duty in 2011. The claim had been settled prior to trial that was scheduled to be heard by Middlesex County Superior Court Judge Vincent LeBlon.
