The Car Connection (6/14, Read, 86K) reports that “Porsche is recalling nearly 18,000 Cayenne and Panamera vehicles in the U.S. to address a problem with their engines.” The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said that there was a problem with the camshaft controller in these vehicles, which can loosen over time. Porsche has not announced an owner-notification schedule, Cars (6/14, Schmitz, 716K) reports. However, owners can call either the company or the NHTSA’s vehicle safety hotline to get more information.
