A cement truck driver settled his Monmouth County lawsuit for $1,000,000. The plaintiff was injured delivering to a construction site in Paramus, NJ. He was pouring concrete from his truck that was to be pumped into the site. The hose that was attached from the pump disengaged and struck the left knee of the plaintiff.
He had to undergo surgery to remove hardware that had been previously implanted in 2013 for a total knee replacement. He now has limitations in his knee and was forced to retire after being deemed disabled by the Social Security Administration. Peter Chamas of Gill & Chamas, LLC in Woodbridge, NJ represented the plaintiff. The parties settled the case on the second day of trial before Monmouth County Superior Court Judge Craig Miller.
