The New Jersey Law Journal released their Top 20 Personal Injury Awards of the Year on August 31, 2015. Raymond Gill, Jr. recovered two of the Top Five awards, as well as #6 in their “Ten More Awards Worth Noting” list. The largest twenty awards are those reported from Sept. 13, 2014 to August 21, 2015. The median recovery this year was $5.9 million.

#3: $8.7 Million – Defective Dishwasher
The claim arose as a result of a recalled dishwasher that was defectively designed so as to allow caustic rinse aid to drip from its dispenser onto the wiring harness thereby causing degradation of the polyvinyl chloride (PVC) coating of live wires which lead to an ignition and house fire
#5: $7.1 Million – Bicycle Fatality
A competitive cyclist suffered a traumatic head injury whiling riding in the Tour de Fair Haven in September of 2013. He collided with the chief referee as he was traveling approximately 30 miles per hour. Directly in front of his family at the race, his face hit the pavement as he was thrown from his bike. After being kept in a medically-induced coma, he died 14 days after the accident.

#6: $2.95 Million – Auto Accident
A woman who experiences severe cognitive dysfunction due to a head injury from a rear-end crash accepted her settlement in her Monmouth County lawsuit. She was struck from behind on Route 9 in Lakewood and was pushed into oncoming traffic, where she was struck by another vehicle.
